So, Ray would like everyone to know that we know it wasn’t Matt C. that shouted “What the hell is that?” upon seeing Bee Mario at E3 (it was Mark Bozon). But Ray can draw Matt C. and everyone will know who he is because he’s like the pretty face of IGN. Anyway, give Ray all the credit for this comic, it was his idea and I love the last panel, clever way of saying ‘shut up!’ to all the trolls out there upset about Mario’s Bee Suit. Just Google ‘bee mario is gay‘ and you’ll find plenty of people crapping on the idea of Mario’s new suit. I suppose it’s been a long time since Mario has had a suit as a power-up, so I can forgive the gamers under 21 who don’t realize how cool it is.
I do dislike the Bee Suit!
I would’ve disliked any suit, really. Even the ones that exist already. I mean, come on, that stuff is soooo 1990.
..Except for the cape. The cape is still cool.
I can’t say I’m a fan of that Bee Suit, but whatever. It’ll be an awesome game, anyway. Nice work on the comic, by the way. It’s one of the few comics that are consistently funny.
I can’t say that I understand the last panel. I’m going to need some explaining for that. (Please, just humor me, the slow kid, if it is obvious.)
But hey, I can’t say that I hate Bee Mario. It fits into the whole “Visit different worlds” theme of Galaxy. Besides, the people who are bashing it are the same people who bashed the name, “Wii,” and the controller. They’re not bad people, just people who are a bit afraid of change. Mario’s been out of costume for so long, that it’s unfamiliar to them.

Why do people care so much about how the bee suit looks? If it adds a fun new dimension to the game, I’m all for it.
Anyone remember that boot suit? If you can call it a suit…

YES! Thanks for reminding me. It’s probably not considered a suit or power-up because it’s not something you can store in your inventory or hit out of a block, instead it’s stolen from an enemy. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t unique and fun!
I always liked Lakitu’s cloud more than the clockwork boot.

I’ve got to say, the bee level is one of my favorites out of Galaxy. The sounds effects associated are absolutely hilarious. Anyone who takes Mario seriously is playing the wrong game.
Matt C. kinda reminds me of Matt Chapman, one of the creators of the flash cartoon site, http://www.homestarrunner.com.
In retrospect, the bee suit was really the best powerup in Galaxy. I’m glad it’s returning in the sequel.
