Altair’s Ad Campaign
Being our one-year anniversary, there are a couple throwbacks I made to some of our very first comics. The first frame is a recreation of panel 2 from comic #003 “A Tragedy in Numbers (part 1),” (that’s not copy+paste, folks…) and the sound effect in Altair’s entrance is from comic #005 “The Truth is Revealed,” (ok, so that one is….)
Drawing a comic nearly every single week for an entire year is strange for me to think about. That is a lot of time I’ve spent on this project that Tim and I had decided on starting without really even knowing each other. I don’t know if we fully understood what we were getting involved with, but I’m happy to report that we (or at least I) plan on continuing this project as long as it’s supposed to last.
I really want to thank everybody for following 2P START!. Whether it’s every week, or just once a year (may I suggest an RSS feed to you?), it means everything.
First of all, if this comic were a real commercial, I would buy the game immediately. Ubisoft, go ahead and use it, just send us the check. That being said, I did just buy the Xbox 360 version of Assassin’s Creed and I’m looking forward to playing it as soon as I beat Call of Duty 4 on Veteran, which may be awhile (it’s freakin’ hard!). I’d like everyone to take a look at our first comic just to see how far we’ve come in a year, both in writing and in drawing. I know Ray and I feel there’s been some improvements, even though we can still appreciate and be proud of many of our early comics. I hope you guys continue to enjoy these more and more.

Sorry Andrew, they put in Nero instead of Altair last minute. Kidding
! Altair’s status in Brawl hasn’t been changed at all. And I didn’t really like Assassins Creed that much, I didn’t play it long, but I didn’t like how instead of ACTUALLY being a medieval assassin you were a medieval assassins descendant and had to go mentally back in time to figure out his secrets or whatever. I just don’t like that it was advertised as being completely medieval, but isn’t. Although that didn’t stop me from getting a free artbook from Gamestop! 
And great comic guys, one for the record books ^_^!

I’ve been patiently waiting for AC to come out on the PC. I know you guys don’t talk about PC gaming very much (if at all), but I’ve found that my combination of PC gaming + Wii covers about 90% of games I want to play.
Just don’t go acting like scott dewitt from f@nboy$ and focusing more on the art than what drew me to this comic in the first place…humor.
Congrats on the one year, loving the comics, keep it up. You guys have become one of my regular weekly readings.

This is the ad Ubisoft should have done. You know, instead of keeping the game hidden from everybody until the launch (seriously, the first preview I saw was two weeks prior to release).
Still waiting for Assassins Creed: Wii Edition (too much to dream?).

@Andrew: Problem with the pic, I forgot that the site I’m using for the shirts only accepts .jpg pics, so unless you’ve got a jpeg of some sort i’m stuck.(don’t have any photo editing on this comp, only on my laptop which is unavailable at the moment)
I tried to print a copy and it is a little on the light side for me with the practically white stylus.

Of course, the better way would be to ask ray to use the original to make a higher quality image than what I am slapping together.
@Andrew: I’ll probably try that one out, way better than what I was able to come up with.. And I already asked Ray if he could get me a copy of the original logo, but I didn’t explain to him what it was for.
@Andrew, okay, now it looks waaaaay better, but now the top of the stylus is cut off, observe.
I don’t know where you are looking to print this, but the printer should be able to take that jpg and properly fit it on the shirt. They will also tell you if it will look ok before you print it.
For me, it is a little bit on the light side for the stylus, but not too bad.
It shouldn’t cost $20 for a shirt either.
Also, you can put your links inside tags so you don’t overflow the comments
Well they have two options for the shirts, a $13 one and a $20 one, I’m not sure on the differences yet(I’d rather get the $20/better quality one personally), and I’m getting it through an HP online service. And I dno’t know how to use tags, I couldn’t figure it out and gave up on it

@Andrew: I don’t now, price seems fine to me, for the shirt and the service that is, considering that it’s a good quality shirt, not some glossy print on top of the shirt(at least I’m pretty sure, if it’s a glossy print on the shirt then I wouldn’t pay a dime for it).
DJ, feel free to make the shirt, but know that Ray and I will be making shirts soon. It might not be that exact logo, but we’ll make sure the quality and price are attractive.
@Andrew: Well after checking out HP’s return policies, I’ll order a shirt as soon as I’m satisfied with the picture on it(I can return it if I don’t like it). I’ll let you know how it goes afterwards.
@Tim: I know that, but I want that logo, and I want a shirt sooner than later(I’m stubborn that way)
. And $20 is more than fine for a shirt(by me), I usually pay $30+ for my shirts

Okay then. I should be getting mine some time next week, although the picture will probably be sub-par because of the resolution. Oh well, we’ll find out soon

Yes, I’m afraid we’ve not going to have the podcast up until late tonight or early tomorrow because we haven’t recorded it yet. It got too late to do it last night so we’ll be recording in a couple hours. Just hold on!
