This is probably a decent podcast, but I don’t know because you put it up so late that I can’t even start to listen to it before my class.
That sounds like a World 1-1 remix… I’m gonna guess (and probably be wrong, as I haven’t played on the Mushroomy Kingdom much) that it’s the World 1-1 remix from Brawl.

Trivia for you, I’m pretty positive, is from DDR: Mario Mix. That game was pretty fun.
Also, 2 more things:
1. Team Chaotix is awesome. Don’t forget that it used to have Knuckles, Mighty, and 2 robots on it.
2. I have a Black Doom award for Microsoft as well. Apparently they’re making some sort of Wiimote rip-off, and from the sketch it looks like it wouldn’t work out very well.

It really bothers me that I recognize the tune, but I have no clue what game it’s from. I did check DDR Mario Mix though and it’s not found there.
Your grounds for making MKWii take the Black Doom award phails. All you need is a Chuck Norris Mii and you’re set for life.

I’m glad they don’t have more characers, after all, they can’t seem to pick good ones. Baby Daisy is the most pathetic idea they’ve ever had. Next to Waluigi of course.
Also, next time I win, just tell me and I’ll record a voice clip, just to avoid the automatic ready thingy.
I think that in the context of Resident Evil, the game doesn’t seem racist. It is probably a fair change of setting where if you want to go to the birthplace of humanity, you pretty much have to choose a non-Caucasian setting. Resident Evil has already pretty much demonstrated that all zombies are slow and stupid and try to take over the world. We should expect slow, stupid, world domination type zombies regardless of color.
On the other hand, if Resident Evil 5 was instead released as a separate game, I can see it being pretty offensive. A game where a white man shows up in Africa and starts shooting the slow, dumb Africans who are the source of a zombie virus, that would be offensive.
Same thing with a “Ultimate World Serial Killer” game. It isn’t racist to have an accurately simulated world that you travel through killing everyone, even when you travel to Africa and the people turn out to be black. It would be offensive to release it in segments by country and let people choose “Ultimate World Serial Killer: Niger and Nigeria” or “Ultimate World Serial Killer: the Asian World” or “Ultimate World Serial Killer: Predominantly Muslim Countries”

Wow, Ray, that was the MOST LAME black doom award ever. 25 Characters. Twenty Five Characters. Never mind the fact that you will race with each player once before choosing two that you really like. Never mind that since you first heard of the game you were planing to use Yoshi (or maybe another character you liked from a previous version). Smash Bros. games had 12, 26, and 39 characters (with the most generous counting). Mario kart games had 8,8,20 (two at a time), 13 (on DS), and now 25. But, if you look at the number of Mario characters, the Mario kart numbers stay the same and the Smash bros numbers fall to 4,7, and 8.
In any case, Mario Kart is about racing, Smash Bros. is about collecting the best group of game characters and fighting.

Cheers for the mention guys. My first comment as comment of the week. I’m glad Tim had as much trouble saying ticklingly as I did trying to spell it.
On a more serious note, I totally get why people would get uppity about the Resi Evil 5 thing, but obviously it’s just cos of the setting in Africa. There have been a lot worse examples of racism in games and other parts of the media that people have totally skipped.

I hate that people get all uppity when it has something to do with blacks, but when it’s whites then everything is fine. If anything that itself is racism at it’s purest. Wait a sec…….there’s no black people on 2PSTART!!! But yeah, I guess no white people worked on the first RE’s. I’m just gonna quote Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation, “I don’t think we have to worry about RE5 until they bring out the fried chicken”.
That’s a weirdo TV, I like the DS one better. And the pong comic was in december O_o !? Dang, I’ve been here a long time.
Charmy the bee from Chaotix. That game was really cool. It was Knuckles solo game. And shame on Espio for hanging around with Charmy and Vector.
They took out Paratroopa!? NO!!! He was my favorite T_T .My Politically Correct Doom award goes to Mario Kart Wii.
In the latest Game Informer(Gears of War 2 cover) they said that Sony was also making a Wii-mote like controller. Wii-win!!!
I believe that’s Microsoft, but yes, it points to the Wii being to big to ignore now. Motion controls are here to stay. Developers, please use them responsibly.
I already knew about the Microsoft one, but I’m very sure the Game Informer said that Sony was also making one, in addition to Microsoft. I’ll scan it later when I get home, if I’m right that is.

Diversity has caused waaaaay to many problems. Resident Evil – You’re in Africa, there are black people in Africa, it’s the main population. The zombies are obviously residents of the place (sorry for pun). This is common sense here!! This Diversity crap just buries Common Sense alive…

I like the music at the end of this podcast. It resembles the music that’s normally played, but it adds a really cool remix/twist to it. Awesome!
I agree. There needs to be some sort of editing feature to these posts, even if it means going to a separate page to do so. But I think that the edit command should be time limited – that is you can only edit the post for up to 24 hours or until someone else posts after you (so people can still respond to posts and have some context in saying it).

As much as it’s going to improve gamers experiences playing these consoles, I hate the fact that when one company comes out with something awesome, all the others try to get their greasy mits on it and ring the life out of it.
Has anyone else seen the Special Edition versions of Soul Calibur IV? It comes with a t-shirt(console specific), an artbook, and a tournament bracket(whatever that is), in a nice tin box. It’s almost as sweet as the GTA IV Special Edition. I’m glad to see that special edition versions of games have been coming with more than a useless behind-the-scenes DVD lately, even if they do cost a little more. Like Bioshock(which came with a Big Daddy figure), and Devil May Cry 4(which came with the first DVD of the anime). Not to mention the Growlanser series, which has always come packaged with a lot of goodies.
I agree with tim some peple make a liveing off being offended ( I know that’s not exsaly what he said but it’s ture) what ever engray crloe said he saw is probly nothing but he colud be I just doubt it
