Jet Force Gemini was awesome Ray! You’re not cool anymore. Tim is the cool one now still >_>
This is the first “Remix” song that I’m just not feeling. Sorry Ace Attorney and Lwelyk.
I really hope that the whole game is in 8-bit, not just the actual game. I don’t want 3-D menus etc. It would ruin the feel for me.
R.O.B. location found!(See spoiler)
R.O.B.’s eyes are to the right of the tip of Wall-E’s right wheel thing in the first and fourth panels.
At the end of the R.O.B./Wall-E/E.V.E. comic Johnny-5 should have come out of nowhere, and E.V.E walks off into the sunset with him, leaving Wall-E and R.O.B. depressed. Then in the next panel(if there’s another panel) you could just show Wall-E and R.O.B. playing Pong like nothing happened. I don’t know, just ideas.
Ion drum set was stupid. No one is gonna pay $300 for a “deluxe” drum-simulating gaming peripheral. That’s just ridiculous. What are the cymbals even for!? It looks like you can just hit the yellow/blue cymbal instead of the yellow/blue pad. Stupid, just stupid.
Apparently Lwelyk and I are the only ones that actually like that remix. The Ace Attorney music is so awesome, that you have to do a lot to make it sound bad.
Good Podcast, I havn’t seen Wall-E yet so I’m glad you were considerate enough not to put in spoilers.
But yeah, DC for MM9, that is stange, I have no idea what it could be. Itll be sweet if it was like Powered up and you get a new costume for roll each month..or include a level creator.
But, you know…great podcast guys! I hadn’t heard about the DLC for MM9 until now, and it’s a bit troubling, but hopefully it is something cool like Protoman as a playable character as Ray said…as long as it’s like 100 Wii points, you know? It could probably go a little higher…
Anyways though, you guys definitely make cooking breakfast Tuesday mornings more enjoyable…keep up the good work.
Whee just listening to part of it before Nintendo’s Press Conference.
I KNEW BOTH TRIVIA FOR YOUS!
And I love that remix. ;_;
Oh well, I can see why a lot of people don’t like it.
And I would be ecstatic about the Megaman 9 thing if it weren’t for the fact we already had 6 GAMES WITH THE SAME GRAPHICS! They were lazy back then, they could at least make some new sprites. As it stands right now, it looks like a fangame with some good looking ending. Basically, if this were any other series, I’d be very excited. But it is more interesting to me than any other megaman I’ve seen in a long time.
Nice podcast guys. I’m actually planning on seeing Wall-E this Friday.
And I don’t own any side-scroller Megaman games. *crowd gasps* I only have the first four Battle Network games, and I’ve only really beaten the third and fourth. I got the first two just to have them, and that they were really cheap. I remember renting a Megaman collection, I think it was for the 20th aniversery. I lost. Bad. On all of them. I really want to get into the series though. Megaman 1 is coming out on VC soon, right? I just remember every game being hard. I’ve even played one of the Zero games, and found it extremely hard.
In reply to Ray’s Black Doom Award, I think you’re wrong!
I mean, if you buy the game and you’re a drummer, it sounds like you could use the controller as a real electric drumkit (as long as you have a brain for an electric kit in your possession). This would be great as a spare kit or a small practice kit. It’s definatly a lot cheaper than your average electric drumkit. And seeing as most drummers have a real kit anyway, It would just be a nice plus to be able to use an “expensive” peripheral. Fair enough it wouldn’t mean a lot to the average gamer, but it seems like a good plus for us drummers out there. I think they’re trying to reach a certain target audience
Remix: I liked the remix. Granted, I haven’t downloaded any of the remixes (yet), but this one wasn’t bad.
On the flashing sprites: That bug was because there were too many things on the screen at once. I’m a computer programmer myself, and that bug sounds like the game console couldn’t redraw the screen fast enough. You see, every game loop, the screen has to redraw, and with recent consoles, the frame rate (redraw rate) is 60 fps. But on old consoles, the redraw loop could get pretty slow when there’s too many things to redraw – even if there is enough space in memory to handle all those things. Long story short, that bug will be fixed, Ray.
On the drum kit: You have to remember, that no matter how ridiculous the controller, there are going to be people who buy it! That’s why they make these things. 🙂
On Megaman: I don’t own ANY megaman games. *crowd gasps, women faint*
BTW, I like your m4a podcast now! I can put it on my iPod and the album cover changes! 🙂 AND there’s bookmarks! I can go back to any segment I want with a click of the wheel! 🙂 🙂 Awesome!
Hey, where’d Tim go? He left before the podcast ended!
Just a note on the trivia for two: from looking at Wikipedia (I admit I haven’t played the game myself), Civ4 has George Washington and FDR as leaders for the US. Abraham Lincoln was the leader in Civ3 (the only civ game I’ve actually played), but the question didn’t specify a version. 🙂
@Roadjcat/Tustin/Meta: Being the official 2PSTART! 2D Megaman representative, I must say that I am very dissappointed in all of you. Pick up Megaman Anniversary Collection and Megaman X Collection and go through them for the full Megaman experience.
@Meta: I don;t really like Battle Networks(I beat 4, Red Sun). Didn’t really have anything to do with Megaman, was really just an RPG about cyber stuff with Megaman names/likenesses. Megaman.EXE isn’t canon either.
Oh, believe me, I will. I really want to get into the series. And I know that Megaman Battle Network isn’t related to the Megaman universe, but I enjoyed it pretty good.
GO SEE MOVIE NAO!
Mr. T pities the foo’ who don’t go watch Wall-E and will be promptly Roundhouse kicked by Chuck Norris.
Maybe the Mega Man 9 DLC (Downloadable Content) will take it to the 16-bit era! *gasp!* :O
Oh, that was a quick episode. Very nice though!
Yay Megaman podcast!

Is the Remix still that new?
I don’t like the Remix either Dj, too anime-ish for my tastes.
You don’t like… whip?
You really like (?) the Black Doom award segement, don’t you. You seem to put the most drama into it.
Wait so Megaman 9 will have downloadable content, for what is essentially downloadable content.
Downloadable content for downloadable content?
I want to use my DK bongos for rockband. Is that weird?
jet force gemini was great….minus the whole collecting of tribals but it was still great!
great podcast guys ^^

I’m super famous now!

Yes nice artwork @the comic though I still don’t get the joke.

And the press conference. I’ll finishe it later.
Wow, no random chatter at the end. You lose.

Have I started something? Or did you just happen to say that as well?

Um… I was just stating that I don’t own any sidescroller Megaman games and that I really want to get one. What are you talking about?
Oh, never mind. I see now. That’s just a really strange coincidence.
Yeah! I got mentioned! 🙂 Sorry.

This is going to snowball isn’t it? Okay from now on, when talking about Megaman, we apparently have to insert *crowd gasps* somewhere…
meag man 9 is the best wii war game ever!!! ( when it comes out that is)
NPG! Felt a bit shorter than usual.
