First Ever POW Block Bar Stool
Mom of the Year Award goes to my mom for making my dream a reality. A POW Block bar stool now welcomes guests to sit and play the Mario Bros. reproduction arcade cabinet. I found a couple old bar stools at a garage sale for $1. They were a bit rickety and had round seats, but my handy dad made a square seat and strengthened the stool with deep screws and some glue. My crafty mom took the pixel art POW Block I provided and got the black, white, blue, and light blue fabric needed and cut out the areas to pixel-perfection. After applying the pattern to the black fabric, she made a cushioned seat and wrapped it in plastic material so the POW would never come undone or get dirty. The best part is, sitting on the POW Block doesn’t even use it up!

One more shot of the new bar stool.
That is amazing. Hats off to Tim’s mom.
That is easily one of the coolest chair/stool type things I have ever seen. And its homemade which gives it +5 coolness. Kudos to your mother Tim.
Did you try hitting it from below, that usually works…
That looks great. Kudos for some inspiration Tim’s Mum. He’ll need to feature you in a strip now. I’m making a cocktail cabinet arcade machine right now… I never thought to put the characters on the stool. Maybe one as a space invader gun and the other as the mothership. Or even Pacman and Blinky (the red ghost). I’ll have to finish the art on the table first though. The plastic wrap is also a great idea. All in all, awesome.
Awesome. Kudo’s to Tim’s mum! (yes australian spelling)
Ooh, its amazing.. and shiny.
I’m jealous, I want one!
go tims mom!
Nice stool. But what about your dad? Isn’t he Dad of the Year?
And what are Kudos?
What about 2P, no butt lovin’ for them? After all, this IS 2PSTART!
No no… you’re doing it wrong. You need to hit it with your head, not the other end.
Nice comic gu– I mean, Nice Stool Tim’s Mom! 😀
Wait wut? Where’s the edit button…? 😐
Nice. I’m sure there might be another pow block stool out there SOMEWHERE (did you check ebay?). Maybe it’s not square, but usually square stools are more breakable on those corners.
Kudo’s to Tim’s mom, who is much cooler than my mom, who hates video games with a passion and always gives us chores anytime she sees us playing a video game.
Ha ha… Your comment got moderated! for… whatever reason…
Wait a moment, I didn’t get an edit button either… TIM!! Quit playing with your POW block and figure out why editing got disabled! Which upgrade did you do on your site recently that isn’t compatible with the editing plugin? (referring to the podcast plugin’s non-compatibility bought)
Editing posts was causing too much problems for the Plug-ins that run the website, so they got removed. Better make sure your spelling and grammar count! There’s no turning back now!
Nice! That’s really cool!
Awesome Stool. If I had stools in my house I would totally get my mom to make some videogame related covers. (she probaly wouldn’t let me put them on the stools, but its the thought that counts.) Maybe a koopa shell on a circular stool. Hmm.
Hehe, I’m gonna call it a chair, ’cause stool makes me laugh 🙂
And how come the “Mario Bros.” on screen is upside down in pic#3?
That’s part of the opening animation to the game. Mario and Luigi turn it around.
They’re a brand of chocolatey granola bars that’s pretty good:

That’s what Ray said, but I think it’s a secret ploy to garner more comments by having comments about comments ;]
3 cheers for tim’s mom…well that was odd…oh and just 1 question how do i edit my avatar
I always thought Kudos came from the PGR series…
Anyway, awesome parents you got, man.
Congrats
🙂
It looks delicious!
I’ll steal all of Tim’s Kudos.
The one on the right looks like Twix
Heh, well I was actually joking about the above, people usually don’t express a desire to give other people granola bars (unfortunately).
But Wikipedia has the real answer:

I give other people granola bars all of the time…
Cool stool, but I don’t think my mum would ever make something like this, despite the fact she sews Irish dancing dresses part time.
