Wha?!? Excitebike is Back and Online!
October 26th, 2009
Wow, this came out of nowhere, but I’m happy to purchase a revived Nintendo classic with updated graphics and online multiplayer! Hey Nintendo, this is only my second WiiWare purchase, the first being Dr. Mario. See a pattern? Keep it coming!
Will you be buying cave story on WiiWare when it comes out.
Being a huge fan of the freeware version, I would, but I don’t have a wii.
I wish that Cave Story wasn’t so damn hard in the secret level. I never completed everything…
Anyway, I’ll be buying it for Wii for sure.
Oh my, I STILL haven’t beaten the true final level after having it for a few months. *Final Boss spoiler warning
DARN THAT BALLOUS
I’ve never actually played the original, so I’m not sure what to make of this…
cool, I’ll buy it, o great now i don’t have enough money for a 2pstart t-shirt. Well I’ll have to start saving up quarters again.
There was something about those actors that irked me…
I think it was the way they were talking as if the audience was clueless about what Excitebike was. I just have to keep reminding myself that I am no longer Nintendo’s target audience, despite the fact that they continue to make games I enjoy.
Awesome. Especially for the online play. Though I’ll have to check back on this after December…
You know. Zombie apocalypse and such.
Cool! I think I’ll buy this when it comes out. Are you (and Ray, if he gets this game) planning on posting your friend codes like in the good old days? 🙂
That guys face bothered me. Otherwise, this looks like it could be good. If the online doesn’t suck (and I bring my Wii to college at some point), I’d definitely get this.
I played the “original” on Animal Crossing, and meh, but I don’t like older games, so that point may just be moot. If it ends up being good I’ll probably get it. And it’s interesting that it has elements of the more recent Excite games because if I’m not mistaken, you can change the environment by hitting certain icons on the track.
Actually, I’m not really fond of these remakes. I mean why would I pay $10 for Dr. Mario when I can play it on the NES? The only difference is graphics which doesn’t really change the game and online multiplayer which I don’t need.
I thought this looked pretty good. As much fun as Excitetruck and Excitebots were I was worried that a plain old Excitebike was never going to show up again. and then this comes along. I’m not SUPER excited but I’ll most likely be getting this one.
