Brawl In The Family Guest Strip!
March 23rd, 2010
As promised, there will be two strips this week. As some had guessed, our first is a guest strip on Brawl in the Family! This is actually the first guest strip we’ve ever done too! Matt from BitF did an excellent guest strip for us a couple months ago, so we wanted to return the favor. Enjoy!
I KNEW IT!!!!! 😀 When Matt said there’d be a guest strip for the first time, I knew in my heart that it might (just might!) be you guys! Good comic, and thanks for filling in for him. It’s nice to see you return the favor to my all-time favorite comic site (no offense, you’re second).
Thanks again,
-TG-
I think this is the first time these two staples of BitF have ever been put in the same comic (Where’s Waluigi comic doesn’t count, since it has everyone).
While this wasn’t laugh-inducing, it gave me a smile, and it fits the randomness of BitF land.
Sigh, I’ve put it off for so, so long. I always thought of this day as like losing your virginity. Once it’s gone, you can’t get it back. I am officially RISING FROM MY GRAVE! Been reading since #47, Advice not heeded. It was especially funny because I used to pretend to be Pac-man while driving down the middle of the road and make the “waka waka” sound as I ate the center dots. I’ve grown up and now wish to say, NCG on the guest strip. You captured BitF style very well and it was fun to look over all the little details in the “ugly” Waluigi. Keep up the good work.
P.S. Just finished 2nd time through the Podcasts. First time was mp3, second time m4a so I could see all the pictures.
I read it. Interesting interpretation of why ol’ WL’s face is so ugly on BitF.
So wait…
Is Captain Falcon a harsh umpire, a really sore loser, or is he Waluigi’s doubles partner, upset at his team mate’s crappy serve?
Or is Captain Falcon, perhaps, the personification of tennis itself, punching Waluigi in the face to symbolize the great impact Waluigi’s shameful performance had on his mental wellbeing?
I’m sure that losing his very first tennis match by repeated double-fault left him a broken man. A mere caricature of his former self, spouting silly catchphrases in a desperate attempt to regain people’s esteem, but only making himself more of a laughing stock. A self-destructive path that even Waluigi himself would become aware of, on one very lonely birthday…
…I’m guessing umpire.
So many awesome references to BitF.. and I love the wrap-around at the end. Awesome comment. =)
Before: BiTF used to be good!
After: WALUIGI’S BACK. NOW THE COMIC IS FUNNY AGAIN.
Well now you know. John McEnroe is actually Captain Falcon. That actually explains so much…
Pretty funny stuff guys and a pretty interesting art style from Ray. Just remind me to never play tennis with Ray or Tim.
Expecting a color comic?
TOO BAD
2P START GUEST COMIC WITH WALUIGI TIME!!!
Ngcg
lmfao. Very nice! =D
Awesome comic! Though I have to admit, after reading through it several times, I’m still confused as to how the first and second panels connect. Does Falcon just randomly appear and randomly punch Waluigi before the match even begins, or is he actually part of the match in some way and punches him sometime during the midst of the match? I’m guessing the latter, with Falcon as the umpire announcing Waluigi’s double-fault (in Falcon style). In any case, nice job guys.
I love it when my favorite two comic sites make a GREAT agreement! Can’t wait till the next one!
Because I can’t resist,,,
WALUIGI HATES THIS! IT HURTS MY FACE!
(speaking of which, I can’t believe BitF hasn’t given Waluigi a face-off yet. At least I don’t remember any).
The obvious outcome of another comic wanting to take a break, and owing them a comic in return. Also, nice job with the theory behind BitF’s Waluigi. =D
Ray, Just wanted to say that the flames in Falcon’s Double-Fault are epic. Nice job.
